Binalog>>>Productions proudly presents the 2nd volume of the Advanced Funk electrofunk compilation series, a "genre-defining" album that showcases the many aspects of nu electro: bass, technobreaks, idm-electro, acid-electro, EBM-ish, experimental, spacefunk, classic old-school electrofunk, call it what you want but it still is ELECTRO, the Kraftwerk-inspired underground music genre born in New York in the early 80s, adopted by the West Coast in the mid-80s, mutated to Miami Bass during the 2nd half of the decade, almost faded away during the 1st half of the 90s, came back strong the last years of the previous century and, finally, came to stay from the 2nd half of the 00s stronger than ever, with a new wave of great producers armed with hardware or/and software, whose injections on the oldschool body of electro with bits from the whole electronic fasma are keeping it fresh, unpredictable and exciting like no other (at least electronic) music.
Enjoy the true sound of the underground!
Massive thanks to all the artists involved in this project, to the djs and radio producers who spin electro and last, but not least, to all the electro fans out there. KEEP THE FUNK ALIVE!
