about
I-F got all the shine, DJ Hell turned it into electro clash (but I'll forgive him because one of his mixtapes introduced me to Charlie 'Spacer Woman'), but it was Intergalactic Gary that really got me open when it came to the sound of Italo. That producer's such as Embryonik are still carrying the torch in 2011? Dope.
On my short-list of artists to check for, I was well chuffed to discover this new one by the man himself that just dropped earlier in July. The remixes of 'Dark Desire' do the business, but for that 80s Berlin coke party vibe, the original version of 'Dark Desire' is the winner. Recommended, and out now via Binalog Productions.
Special bonus points to the dope 'Jump' synths on the 80s Stallone mix. As an aside, I'll just say that along with Electro Elvis, 80s Stallone has one of the best handles in the game.
